Being Alert in Network Marketing Improves Success

Being Alert in Network Marketing Improves Success

Alertness in the Network Marketing business plays a huge role in our ability to be effective leaders because it sharply enhances creativity and generates solutions. As we become more alert to what people are doing, we gain valuable insight into what beliefs are driving their actions.

Try this:

By improving our alertness, we dramatically increase our opportunities to learn from those around us. Being alert is something that helps us in almost every aspect of our lives. When we think of being alert we tend to think of quick reflexes, and of the ability to react instantly to stimuli. For this reason we tend to associate alertness with activities like driving and sports; but this is a long way from being the full scope of what being switched on can achieve.

Consider this:

Developing a keen sense of alertness is a fundamental goal of all great leaders. Constant observation helps you to become very sensitive and alert to the best way to work with each individual. Great leaders do not believe in treating each person exactly the same. Some of those around you respond best to praise, while others need to be pushed harder. Still others excel when they are given space with only an occasional comment or acknowledgment. This kind of individualized coaching, and leadership demands a higher level of alertness, understanding, and presence. The reward is your immense internal satisfactions at seeing those around you grow in confidence, and performance.

To think about:

We can markedly increase our alertness by making a key decision. We must decide that learning is far more important than our fear of failure in this business of Network Marketing.

It frees us to seek to understand, to learn, and to care. We will be far more interested in asking questions and listening to expand our knowledge and deepen our insights than in spouting answers to impress others

with our position, or to protect your ego. Through this critical decision, we will become curious rather than closed, which hinders your ability to grow your business.

Encourage your prospects to express themselves. Ask an appropriate question, and pause long enough for them to reply. Really listen. Your thoughtful attention will encourage them to speak freely. If their response reveals something about their interests, tactfully inquire further. Without turning the conversation into a cross-examination, seek to get to know them better. Commend them for their thoughts if you can do so sincerely. Even if you do not agree with their point of view, be gracious in acknowledging their expressions.

We often get caught up in believing our primary role is to supply answers. If you don’t know the answer, just be brave, and admit it. True leaders realize that answers are important, but questions are essential. When you ask open-ended questions, you gain the opportunity to see different perspectives, and approaches. This enables you to be alert to opportunities or potential problems you may have missed had you confined yourself solely to your own range of experiences.

Other people benefit just as much when you remember to ask questions. They see that you value their thoughts, and opinions. This builds a far greater loyalty and enthusiasm about this business venture than if you try to force their commitment through your authority. In fact, by genuinely listening to those who question your leadership, you can often transform their doubts into lasting respect, and gain valuable insights for yourself as well.
