Avoid These Mistakes When Prospecting

Avoid These Mistakes When Prospecting

Many people enter the Network Marketing business with their eyes closed and wonder why they aren’t making any money. Perhaps you are such a person who is not successful in this business opportunity.

It is necessary to learn the proper methods in this business in order to make the necessary money you want. Here are some suggestions that will help you avoid making mistakes when prospecting:

Sending sales packages to cold lists.

A cold list is a list of names of people that have shown absolutely, positively: no interest in your business opportunity. All you are doing is spending good money after bad. These people will most likely trash your information without so much as a simple glance. Simply, avoid such leads.

Not following-up with your prospects!

You’ve made no attempt to build a trusting relationship with your new prospect; in most cases they will not part with their money to join your team. It just doesn’t work that way. Try this. Ask your upline for the series of follow-up letters they use to recruit people and then ask them for the phone script they’ve been using. You can now create a good follow-up system that will get you the new downline partners you need.

Mailing more than one offer at a time to your prospects.

When you include too much information in your mail out, this annoys your prospect. In many cases your mailing goes straight to the garbage. Just put one offer in your mail outs!

Being cheap on training.

Always spend money on training material, books, courses, etc. Network Marketing is a real business opportunity like any other legitimate business. You must learn how to work the business the right way. Otherwise, you can’t expect to make any money. Without proper training, you have no right expecting to make money. Training in this business is a must, so open your purse strings.

Being just plain lazy.

One of the biggest problems with many would-be Networkers is their laziness. “A door keeps turning upon its pivot, and the lazy one upon his couch.” (A proverb.) Just about all of us are lazier than we ought to be. Most people who enter the home-based business field would rather watch television than make a few follow-up phone calls. Laziness breeds poverty. Not everyone is cut out to be in business for themselves.

Good health to you!
