Who can be a Network Marketer?
Anyone! Network Marketing is nothing new to the world. It dates back as far as the 1930’s?
A Story of a marketer who builds out of the ashes…
W. Thacher Longstreth lost almost everything except his house during the Great Depression. The stock market crash wiped out the family fortune.
His son Thacher Jr. was nine, and the family, never really recovered financially. They moved into the carriage house on the Haverford estate to save expenses.
In his book Main Line Wasp, W. Thacher describes his once-rich mother selling “Prosperity Pens” and calls Prosperity Pens a “pyramid scheme.”
During the 1930’s, someone came up with the idea that you could sell a pen to someone, and in turn he would sell pens to two people, and they would each sell to two others, and you’d get a commission on all the levels . . . In 1931, Thacher’s mother was hoping, with Prosperity Pen Distributors, to leverage her way out of the Depression.
So what do you think? Does Network Marketing work for a marketer?
