Networking, Your Computer, and Plug and Play Technology

What is plug and play?

In the computer world, a plug and play device or computer bus is one with a specification that facilitates the discovery of a hardware component in a system without the need for physical device configuration, or user intervention in resolving resource conflicts.

Consider this:

Banks, and many other businesses have seen the advantages of these services, and are using these computer services such as electronic bill paying, on-line banking, and secure credit card. You can now file your taxes over e-mail…and install plug and play on your computer such as provided by Google, and Microsoft, and other software companies.

To think about:

Today according to one source, nearly 90% of Americans own a Smartphone, and 69% of Americans rely on a Smartphone for accessing online services, and information, and for staying connected to the world around them — either because they lack broadband at home, or because they have few options for online access other than their cell phone. There are almost as many cell-phone subscriptions (6.8 billion) as there are people on this earth (seven billion)—and it took a little more than 20 years for that to happen. In 2013, there were some 96 cell-phone service subscriptions for every 100 people in the world. Network Marketers see the advantage of such resources, and are quickly making use of such services.

According to a report by Forrester Research, there were over one billion PCs in use worldwide by the end of 2008. With PC adoption in emerging markets growing fast, it is estimated that there will be more than two billion PCs in use by 2015, Forrester predicts. That will probably grow beyond that figure.

It is believed that the top nations with high PC users are the USA, China, Japan, Germany, and this is always an estimate, because the numbers change daily. According to estimates, there are about 52,990,000 users of personal computers in China. Hmm, are they in Network Marketing?

USA Today said, “People who buy home computers want to connect to the outside world. So, they’re signing on to on-line services that let users send electronic mail, join ‘chat’ forums, and get news and information.” These services also offer entertainment, and electronic marketplaces with everything from on-line classified, and help-wanted ads to on-line shopping.

Analysts estimate the worldwide installed base of PCs is growing just under 12 percent annually.

Consider this:

Network Marketing will increasingly make use of home-based PCs. Companies, and leadership distributors, and their groups are making use of online services to market their products, and recruit for their business opportunity. Instead of writing you, phoning you, Network Marketers are using e-mail, sending your commission checks, and electronic transfers, weekly opportunity meetings, new product announcements, distributor agreements, order forms, meeting schedules, fax-on demand, marketing, and prospecting tools on-line, in real time, on your home computer screen.

Many believe that the number of Internet connected devices will reach, and surpass the 15 billion mark by 2015, and around 40 billion by 2020.  This number would include traditional computer devices, mobility devices, as well as the new industrial and consumer devices.  Think about what happens when we connect all of those unconnected devices, and make use of them in Network Marketing!
