How to Invest Your Time Wisely 2 Part Series: Part 1

Everyone has habits; it is a fact of life. Some are good and of course some are bad. Good habits can be supportive, and give us power to carry on in life. As a result we can achieve much in life.

Here are some good habits that can contribute positive input in your Network Marketing business.

Sharpen your ax, as it were, by planning ahead so that you can make the most effective use of your time. Set aside or eliminate nonessential tasks, which do little more than consume time and energy. If you find that you have time on your hands because you have caught up on your work, why not move on to a job that is scheduled for later? By thinking ahead, you increase your productivity, like a wise workman who sharpens his ax.

  1. Jot Down Your Goals and Review Them Each and Every Day. 
    Successful people write their goals down and review them on a daily basis. Written goals help you to be focused and assist you to get through tough times. Making progress requires setting personal goals.
  2. Stop Observe and Listen. 
    It is of real importance to listen, rather than say what you have to say. Have questions, rather than answers. Approach your conversation with an agenda to listen to the other person.  The more you listen, the easier it will be for you to remember. Ask for his opinion, and listen carefully without needlessly interrupting. Maintain eye contact to show that you are listening. Acknowledge his comments, and commend him if you can do so sincerely. Avoid being argumentative.
  3. Acknowledge Your Actions Instead of Your Result.
    Focus on your actions, and let the results take care of themselves. Good results are produced from good actions. By acknowledging your actions, you give yourself and others positive reinforcement. You build a pattern of success. Thomas Edison failed many times in trying to produce the light bulb. You may fail on numerous occasions as well. Don’t look at it as failure. Look at it as experience. Consistent action with each proactive action being completed before you move on to the next, generates the momentum you need to accomplish your goals.
  4. Only Say Things that Win People.
    “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything.” Chew your words carefully before you spit them out. No one has complete control of the tongue. A Wise Proverb says: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” Saying things that win people over generates positive word-of-mouth. This will attract people to you just like a magnet.  So try to shut down negative talk. When you find yourself involved in negative talk, note what you are saying, stop immediately, and make a positive observation or just plain shut up. Being known as a person of your good word, is something you can put in the bank and the interest that it earns is both residual and powerful. Never be guilty of spreading negative talk, or even to listening to it.
