Without good leadership your business suffers. A leader used to be dictatorial, the one who gave all directives, the one at the top of the hierarchy. The leader was male-oriented in terms of style. A leader had people working for him or her. A leader set a certain image, had a certain presentation: he was clean-cut, conservative, had a persona about him, and usually non-offensive; usually non offensive.
However, there was a high price to pay for being a leader.
In most cases the people caught in this scenario lacked integrity. Their health suffered; illness, heart attacks, ulcers, migraines, cancer, alcoholism, impotence and being overthrown.
Leaders often used people. People simply became objects for furthering their own agenda, an agenda that always included being combative and greedy.
Today, leadership is moving in another direction, a new paradigm of a “win-win” situation– you win, I win.
In Network Marketing this requires an entirely different level of operating for individuals in terms of leadership.
To be successful in the Networking industry, the real leader is a maker of leaders; one, who recognizes, supports, and empowers other leaders and contributes to their being successful leaders.
The new paradigm of leadership is both recognizing their strength and going to work on them as a partner-ship. The leader becomes a resource rather than a dictator; a listener committed to individuals who are on the path of development as leaders. LISTENING is an important factor in learning. It can also influence a person’s prospects. You listen to the other person as “a leader.” You don’t belittle their ideas. There is no need to feel that they are going to compete against you and end up losing out. No corporate ladder climbing here.
And, instead of being hierarchical, it’s linear. Leadership moves across, not up or down. The new paradigm of leadership includes, rather than excludes.
NETWORK MARKETING is the only business structure so far that incorporates this new paradigm of leadership.
The Network Marketing structure precludes “me versus them.” In order for leaders to make it to the top in Network Marketing, they must build other leaders. This is what makes Network Marketing unique.

Note how the one speaking emphasizes the main points. Mentally respond to his questions. Listen as others explain and apply the material. Looking at the information from the viewpoint of others may give you fresh insight into a familiar subject. Contribute to the interchange by offering your own expressions. A good leader respects the ideas and contributions of others.
A LEADER does the right thing under any circumstances. A leader does the right thing, even if it costs him, for the greater benefit of all.
