When considering going into Network Marketing, it would be good to consider the practical wisdom that is offered in areas of what not to do in the business. Care has to be taken so that mistakes are not made that could end up sinking, or dissolving your business. You need to learn good marketing skills, and tactics that will help you be successful and avoid mistakes.
Think about and consider:
Most people today do not have a good understanding of their market. They like the product, and go into marketing without even wondering if the market needs or even want what they’re offering.
- How many customers are there for my product or opportunity?
- How many people actually need it?
- Where are the people located?
- Do they have sufficient funds to pay me?
- What about the growth of prospects? (This will give you information of the future residual income.)
- Will I be able to stay in contact with my team, and be cost-effective?
Think about this:
Your product has to be superior to your competition. Also know what your competition is doing, and take steps to ensure that you are better.
You love your product, and the opportunity that it has presented, and you think your customers share your excitement. Remember, people are only interested in “What’s in it for me?”
People do not buy features, they buy benefits. Most in marketing create features. In most cases, people today have little, or no interest in features, and this thinking will limit your ability to grow prospects.
If your Network Marketing material, or presentation is about your product, or your company — it’s feature oriented. If it’s about the prospect, its benefit oriented.
Put these words first in your presentation, “You Get” if you can’t put these two words first, then it’s not a benefit.
Remember, people buy benefits.
Be careful in putting your advertising in place. Nothing depletes your Network Marketing budget faster than getting no direct response. Make your ads pay. Be sure to make an offer people can directly respond to.
Do an ad that sounds as if you are talking directly to them. When they read the ad, people feel it’s personal.
Also have response tracking mechanisms for everything you do! This will tell you which ad is successful and paying for itself.
Think about this:
People are skeptical if you don’t tell the whole story, real the truth. Be honest about what you place in your ad, and you will get better results for your money. In other words, don’t stretch the truth. Don’t lie, it will come, and bite you in the butt.

The Networking business is built on testimonials!
You want people to say: “These people solved my problem. Now I’m making money. I’m successful . . . (whatever the desired benefit is), and you will be successful too.”
Look for actual success stories of people who have done good things with your product, and opportunity that a prospect can relate to.
If a customer calls to place an order, why not say: “By the way, if you’re interested, we also have a book. Because you bought our tapes, videos, etc., you can buy the book in the next month, $5 off, but this offer is limited.” This will increase your sales.

No matter how successful your Network Marketing strategy is, don’t just sit back and relax. Keep doing what you’re doing, and always test other marketing strategies, and you will increase sales. It is good to consider these positive suggestions when Network Marketing; you may avoid mistakes that can sink your business.
